Trump Angry US Called Assistance To Iran To Build Non-Military Nuclear Facilities
JAKARTA - US President Donald Trump has vented anger on US media following reports stating he provided Iran with 30 billion US dollars (Rp 48.6 trillion) assistance to build non-military nuclear facilities.
"Who the hell is on Fake News Media saying 'President Trump wants to give Iran 30 billion US dollars to build a non-military nuclear facility'?"
"There's never been this ridiculous idea. It's just another hoax issued by fake news to demean. These people are sick !!!" Trump wrote on his Truth Social account as reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Saturday, June 28.
A number of US media reported that the Trump administration is considering providing Iran with economic incentives, such as disbursing billions of Iranian assets in exchange for the termination of Tehran's uranium enrichment program, according to three sources familiar with the matter's discussions.
On June 22, the US dropped six bunker-destroying bombs at the Fordow nuclear facility and launched dozens of submarine-based cruise missile attacks on two other sites, namely Natanz and Isfahan as part of efforts to suppress Iran's nuclear program.
Although the sixth round of talks between the US and Iran has been scheduled for June 15, Israeli airstrikes against Iran's military, nuclear and civilian sites on June 13 made things complicated.
The 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran has stalled under the US-sponsored ceasefire which took effect on June 24.
