Minister Of Home Affairs Bans Regional Heads From Halal Bihalal Lebaran ASN Open House
JAKARTA - Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian issued Circular Number 800/2784 / SJ concerning the Prohibition of Iftar Together in Ramadan and Open House / Halal Bihalal Activities on Eid Al-Fitr 1442 H.
In the Circular which was signed on Tuesday, May 4, Tito asked the governors, regents and mayors to instruct their staff not to hold open houses or halal bihalal events on Hari Raya.
"We are asked to the governor / regent / mayor to instruct all officials / ASN in the regions not to conduct an open house / halal bihalal in the framework of Idulfitri 1442 H," said Tito, quoted from SE.
In addition, Tito also asked all regional heads to prohibit the activity of breaking the fast together.
"The governors / regents / mayors are asked to prohibit the activities of breaking the fast together which exceed the number of nuclear families plus five people during the month of Ramadan in 2021," he continued.
In this connection, the Director of Prevention and Control of Vector Infectious and Zoonotic Diseases of the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes), Siti Nadia Tarmizi, said that the COVID-19 cluster appears to break the fast together in the regions.
"The large number of people who are currently doing iftar activities together. Iftar together can be done again, pay attention to health protocols. In principle, talking at meals together is a very possible factor for the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. This is certainly what we do not want. "said Nadia.
