David Alaba Has A Kans Won't Take Part In The 2025 Club World Cup
JAKARTA - David Alaba has a calf injury. Real Madrid confirmed on Friday, June 27, 2025, local time, in the latest injury setback for the veteran defender.
The 33-year-old centre-back has not featured in any of Real Madrid's three matches so far at the 2025 Club World Cup. He is still recovering from a menniscus injury to his left knee in April 2025.
Alaba's latest setback is expected to see him absent from the tournament.
"David takes a little longer (to recover). After the operation (ofniscus), we need to be careful and patient. So, step by step, we will wait a little longer," said Xabi Alonso on Thursday, June 26, 2025, local time.

Real Madrid so far have not been strengthened by a number of key players at the 2025 Club World Cup.
Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, and Eduardo Camavinga have tried hard to get back fully fit at the team headquarters in Palm Beach. Meanwhile, Ferland Mendy and Endrick have recovered.
"Ferland is far from ready to play. Eduardo is moving forward rapidly in his recovery."
"Hopefully we'll get it back. I don't know in the next game, or whether we're going any further," Alonso said.
Endrick will join his colleagues in the coming days although it is not clear whether he will play a role on the pitch at the 2025 Club World Cup or not.
"Endrick is recovering. We want him to be available as soon as possible. I rely on him, of course," said the Spaniard.
With the Brazilian international's absence - added to Kylian Mbappe's illness -Gonzalo Garcia intervened and scored two goals in three group games in the United States, including in a 3-0 win against Red Bull Salzburg in Philadelphia, Friday, 27 June 2025.
Real Madrid will face Juventus in the round of 16 in Miami, Florida, Wednesday, July 2, 2025 WIB. It is likely that the quarter-finals will be on July 6, 2025 WIB, the semifinals on July 10, 2025 WIB, and the final on July 14, 2025 WIB.
