There Is A Landslide In Cilawu, Garut Police Takes A Diversion Of Vehicle Flow

The Garut Resort Police deployed a number of personnel to arrange and divert the flow of vehicles from Garut to Singaparna Tasikmalaya to the Limbangan national route to avoid landslides in Cilawu, Garut Regency, West Java, Saturday morning.

Head of the Garut Police Traffic Unit, Iptu Aang Andi Suhandi, said that his staff together with joint officers from other agencies cleaned the road from landslide material that closed the Garut-Tasikmalaya main road in Cilawu District.

"There was a landslide around Tenjowaringin on the Garut-Tasikmalaya border. For drivers who will lead to Tasikmalaya, they will go through the Garut-Lbangan-Malangbong route," said Iptu Aang quoting Antara.

Kasatlantas said that heavy rains that flushed the Garut area caused landslides to close road access in Cikangkung Village, Sukamaju Village, Cilawu District, at around 06.30 WIB.

A number of joint personnel, said Iptu Aang, have been alerted at landslide locations and at crossroads to regulate the flow of vehicle traffic so that it remains smooth.

"We are at the TKP with elements related to BPBD and local governments. Our efforts are to appeal through social media and take to the field and carry out traffic flow regulations," he said.

During the evacuation of landslide material, he said, the flow of vehicles from Garut to Tasikmalaya was diverted to the Wanaraja route, then Cibatu to enter the Limbangan-Malangbong-Tasikmalaya national route.

Likewise, the flow of vehicles from Tasikmalaya to Garut by the local police is not recommended to cross the Tenjowaringin area, but is diverted to a national route.

The Head of BPBD Garut Regency! Anwar Saefuloh said that the heavy rains that lasted quite a long time flushed the Garut area caused landslides at three points in the Cilawu area.

"The three locations are the Cikangkung Koling, in front of the Bojongloa Talang workshop, Citengek, Cilawu District," said God willing.

Previously, heavy rains from Saturday morning until 09.00 WIB were still pouring down a number of areas in Garut.
