Authority Signs 9 New Projects For Phase 2 Development Of IKN
The Capital Archipelago Authority (IKN) signed nine cooperation agreements for the work on new projects which are part of phase two of the IKN development in North Penajam Paser Regency and Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan.
"IKN is now in the second phase of development," said Acting Deputy for Facilities and Infrastructure of the IKN Authority Danis H Sumadilaga as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, June 28.
The new work package signed in the second phase of IKN construction, including seven road infrastructure projects, as well as the arrangement of sports areas and green open spaces and then the arrangement of the Sepaku area.
The entire development continues, he explained, to the development of judicial, legislative areas, the completion of drinking water distribution channels, and other road networks.
The arrangement work for the Sepaku area is not an ordinary project because it is carried out in areas that have been socially and economically active, he continued, the process of getting a work contract for more than one year is carried out in the midst of people's lives.
The arrangement of the Sepaku area that was carried out was not a construction on vacant land, such as the Sepaku Market, which is a center for community economic activity with a market model that was built through the community's decision-making process (voting).
The implementation of market development on village land, and during the construction process, traders at the Sepaku Market will be temporarily relocated, after the construction period is complete, traders will return to occupy the market.
"The arrangement of sports areas and green open spaces such as glamping areas has been developed into functional and educational public spaces," he said.
The glamping area is upgraded to green open spaces that can be used by the public for education, recreation, and research, there are tropical forests that have great potential to be used as a center for learning and forestry research.
The value of the work package project improves the quality of 12.3 kilometers of approximately IDR 3.042 trillion, and the package of work on the arrangement of sports areas and green open spaces and the Sepaku area is around IDR 313.2 billion.
"The work package funds come from the 2025 state budget (APBN)," said Danis.
