Quoting Antara, BMKG forecaster Rira A. Damanik said that in Sumatra thick cloudy weather has the potential to be experienced in the Banda Aceh area, light rain in Medan, Pekanbaru, Padang, Tanjung Pinang, Palembang, Pangkal Pinang and Bandar Lampung as well as thunderstorms in Bengkulu and Jambi.
"On the island of Java, the potential for thick clouds in Surabaya, light rain in Jakarta and Yogyakarta, moderate rain in Semarang and Serang and be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning in the Bandung area," said Rira.
Meanwhile, for the areas of Bali and Nusa Tenggara, he said there was the potential for cloudy weather in Mataram, thick cloudy in Kupang and light rain in Denpasar.
BMKG predicts light rain has the potential to occur today in Pontianak and Samarinda, moderate rain in Tanjung Selor and rain accompanied by lightning in Palangka Raya and Banjarmasin.
