As Of This Friday, The Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Ensures That More Than 70 Indonesian Citizens From Iran Have Been Evacuated
"More than 70 Indonesian citizens (WNI) from 97 Indonesian citizens who were evacuated from Iran have arrived in Indonesia until Friday," said the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu).
The Indonesian government has evacuated 73 evacuees, consisting of 72 Indonesian citizens and 1 Iranian citizen, "Director of Protection of Indonesian Foreign Ministry Judha Nugraha detailed evacuation data, reported by ANTARA, Friday, June 27.
"Meanwhile, the remaining 24 people are still at the transit point in Baku, Azerbaijan, and will be repatriated gradually on 28, 29, and June 30, 2025," said Judha.
Regarding the details of the next return, the Director of PWNI of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the first 6 people would arrive on June 28 via the Baku-Doha-Bangkok-Jakarta flight route.
Furthermore, the 5 Indonesian citizens will arrive on June 29 and the remaining 13 Indonesian citizens will return to Indonesia on June 30, Judha said, adding that both waves of return flew via the Baku-Jakarta route by transiting in Doha.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is coordinating closely with Indonesian Representatives in transiting countries to ensure the smooth and safety of this evacuation process," he added.

It is known that apart from Indonesian citizens from Iran, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has evacuated 3 Indonesian citizens from the northern Yemeni region controlled by the Houthi group through assistance from the Indonesian Embassy in Muscat.
There were also 2 Indonesian citizens who were settlers of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem who were evacuated with assistance from the Indonesian Embassy in Amman in Jordan. The 5 Indonesian citizens arrived in Jakarta on Wednesday, Judha said.
In a statement received on Wednesday (25/6), the Director of PWNI of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Indonesian Embassy in Muscat and the Indonesian Embassy in Amman had established security status in their respective regions, namely Jordan and Palestine and Israel, to the highest level, namely Alert 1.
The security level in Iran has also been set to Alert 1, as stated by the Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs (Menlu) Sugiono on June 18. It is known that a total of 97 people were willing to be evacuated by the Indonesian government from Iran following the escalation of the conflict with Israel in the country.
The 97 people consisted of 96 Indonesian citizens, including 3 embassy staff, and one Iranian citizen who married an Indonesian couple. They have been dispatched to Baku, Azerbaijan, in preparation for their gradual return flight to their homeland.
