WatchOS 26 Beta Makes Apple Watch Hermes Crash, Apple Asks Users To Hold Back
Apple warned Apple owners of the Apple Watch Hermes Edition not to install the second beta version of watchOS 26, after a serious bug was found that caused the device to crash, overheat, and failed to pair with the iPhone.
The issue is formally stated in Apple's release notes for developers, who recognize special disruptions to Apple Watch premium Hermes' models with exclusive views and distinctive designs from the French fashion house.
According to a user report, the bug in watchOS 26 beta 2 causes:
The Apple Watch application on the iPhone cannot be opened after pairing Hermes Watch.
Crash is constantly on Apple Watch Hermes.
Overheating that interferes with use.
Charging problems and failures when trying to reconnect the device after being unpaired.
While Apple hasn't pulled this beta version of the developer's distribution path yet, the company firmly advises developers with Apple Watch Hermes not to install it, until fix updates are released.

Apple also said it would soon resolve the issue in the next build of watchOS 26 and iOS 26. However, there is no definite schedule for the availability of official rollback patches or versions.
Apple Watch Hermes users who have experienced interference are advised not to re-pair hours with iPhones that use iOS 26 beta 2, because this actually worsens the problem.
As usual, the beta version is primarily for developers, it is intended for testing and not daily use. Even expensive devices like Apple Watch Hermes are not immune to serious bugs, especially when exclusive features like the Hermes watch display are also affected.
For Hermes users who depend on their clocks for their daily needs, you should avoid watchOS 26 beta 2 updates for now. Developers can also monitor the Apple Developer Center for official rollback or patch announcements.
