Sudaryono Successfully Unites HKTI Dualism, OSO: He Is Eligible And Clean
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Farmers Harmony Association (HKTI) officially ended the long round of leadership dualism.
In the 10th National Conference (Munas) which was held at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday (26/6), Deputy Minister of Agriculture (Wamentan), Sudaryono was elected as the General Chair of HKTI for the 2025-2030 period.
The election of Sudaryono became a new milestone for the HKTI organization. After more than a decade of being divided into two camps between Fadli Zon and Moeldoko, HKTI is now under one leadership command.
"In the leadership meeting (rapid), we have chosen, appointed and entrusted the Deputy Minister, Mr. Sudaryono, to lead the HKTI in the future," said Moeldoko in his remarks, greeted with lively applause from hundreds of HKTI administrators from various regions.
Sudaryono, who was in the front row, immediately stood before Moeldoko. He saluted Moeldoko and the HKTI members who were present at the location. Apart from Muldoko and Sudaryono, the 10th National Conference of HKTI was also attended directly by the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan), Andi Amran Sulaiman; and the Chairman of the HKTI Organizational Consideration Agency (BPO), Oesman Sapta Odang (OSO).
On that occasion, Minister Amran asked Sudaryono to maintain solidity and end all problems that had occurred before. He also asked Sudaryono to embrace all camps to enter the organization he would lead. Amran assessed that this is important to develop HKTI in the future.
"Now, we are opening a new sheet. Let everyone enter Mr. Dar (Sudaryono, ed). Any position. If necessary, develop it side by side. There are five Secretary Generals (Secretary General), there are five General Treasurers (Bendums), let alone," he said.
Amran said that HKTI's journey and progress will be naturally selected in the future. He believes that people who do not love and do not want to raise HKTI will fall, or be selected naturally.
"Later it will fall alone. Leading that there are consequences, it is not an easy thing. As the party who bridges it, this is not an easy thing. Later I will meet with Mr. OSO, Mr. Muldoko, it is not easy. I will be held accountable," he explained.
Chairman of the HKTI BPO, Oesman Sapta Odang (OSO) ensured that the merger of these two administrators would smoothly reach the grassroots level. He also believes that this unification will be a leap to protect and fight for the fate of farmers.
OSO emphasized that the election of Deputy Minister Sudaryono to become Chairman of HKTI was the wish of President Prabowo Subianto.
"I have met with President Prabowo. Hugs. President Prabowo hopes that HKTI will unite," he said.
The chairman of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPD) for the 2017-2019 period added that the number of farmers in Indonesia is very large, around 76 million. Therefore, farmers need support, and HKTI must go to villages a lot to pay attention to farmers in the country.
"Farmers are the backbone, and one of the strengths of the nation," he said.
OSO also assessed that Sudaryono was a worthy and clean person on a track record. According to him, the chairman of the Gerindra Party in Central Java has adequate organizational experience and field understanding.

He also highlighted several main problems in the agricultural sector, such as uneven distribution of fertilizers, unstable commodity prices, and subsidy bureaucracy that are often not on target.
"I am a farmer's son, and I know very well what the farmers in the field feel. So, I will work hard without brakes. It must be gaspol for self-sufficiency in food like President Prabowo's vision," he said.

He also realized that all these programs would only work if they really touched the needs of farmers at the grassroots.
