Not Only Relying On Loyalists, Here's How Jeep Gets New Consumers In Indonesia

JAKARTA - The iconic automotive brand from the US, Jeep has officially returned to the country's market through the single agent of brand holder (ATPM) PT Indomobil National Distribution.

Of course, the return of the brand to Indonesia is a breath of fresh air for lovers, customers, and Jeep owners and is expected to last a long time in the country.

In order to bring back the brand in Indonesia, Indomobil has its own strategy to attract consumers in Indonesia in addition to relying on loyal consumers.

Jeep Indonesia's Chief Operating Officer (COO), Ario Soerjo, explained that his party wants to target all levels of consumers but with excessive income.

"We are actually targeting all levels, but what is certain is that with excessive income. Because Jeep buyers are definitely not bad people and have more income used for hobbies," said Ario when answering media questions at PIK, Jakarta, Thursday, June 26.

He also explained that one way to attract new consumers in Indonesia is to take advantage of relationships with communities.

"We go through references by cooperating with high-end communities, for example with publications so they help us find potential consumers," added Ario.

In addition, he added that another way to attract potential buyers in Indonesia is to prepare various facilities in Indonesia.

"One other way is to prepare Jeep Lounge, it is to maintain consumer loyalty. We will serve it as much as possible in accordance with global SOPs," he said.

Starting his work in holding this brand, Indomobil has just introduced a Jeep Wrangler 4-door model which was launched last April at a price of IDR 2.389 billion On The Road Jakarta.

The brand also follows one of the largest automotive events in the country, namely the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025 which will take place from June 24 to August 3.

Jeep will bring a special model to the exhibition under a name that is still a mystery.
