Tyson Fury Annoyed With Jury's Decision In His Last Duel

JAKARTA Boxer former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury is still annoyed by the jury's decision in his final game before retiring against Oleksandr Usyk.

The clashes between the two names took place in December 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Usyk was declared victorious through unanimous decision (UD) in the clashes.

WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said Fury still had not felt calm with the decision when the two of them communicated by telephone recently.

"He told me he was not happy with the decision in the second fight with Usyk. He was still very annoyed with the jury's assessment and he was very angry," Sulaiman said as quoted by Sky Sport.

Fury decided to hang up his boxing gloves after the clashes and has yet to show signs of returning to the boxing ring.

The fighter nicknamed Kingmen was linked with a fight against compatriot Anthony Joshua. However, so far there has been no clarity whatsoever regarding that.

Sulaiman said that Fury also did not mention plans to return to the ring in their talks. So, a comeback or not is now in Fury's hands.

"Maybe like in the film The master, maybe we'll hear it say: 'Right when I thought I was out, they pulled me back!' We don't know...," said Sulaiman.

Fury lost his WBC title in the undisputed championship fight against Usyk in May 2024. He then lost again in their rematch in December 2024.

The two defeats ended the record of never losing 35 fights before. On the other hand, Usyk maintains a record of not losing thanks to both results.
