SURABAYA - Recently, social media was shocked by the ridiculous action of a man at Pakuwon Mall Surabaya. While holding a child, this man in a black hat with glasses hiding out to visitors.
He called visitors stupid because wearing masks was the main condition to prevent transmission of COVID-19. In the video caption, the man wrote, "What is the function of your mask cok? Lek Wedi (if he is afraid) virus bangun bungker blok ojok nang mal" (Sundanese language).
Know what happened next? The 34-second video went viral and received blasphemy from netizens.
Due to this incident, the police finally hunted the man. However, during the investigation, the Surabaya Police did not find a criminal element and handed it over to the Surabaya COVID-19 Task Force.
Furthermore, in the hands of the COVID Task Force, the man named Putu Arimbawa (28), a resident of Pancawarna, Petiken, Driyorejo, Gresik, was subject to administrative fines of IDR 150 thousand and social work in the Pondok Social Environment Surabaya.
A form of social work, Putu Arimbawa was given a sanction to feed people with mental disorders (ODGJ) at Liponsos, Surabaya City, Tuesday, May 4.
"So it was the police who took action against the man. However, because there was no criminal element, the police handed over the handling to the Surabaya COVID-19 Task Force", said Head of Public Relations of the Surabaya City Government, Febriadhitya Prajatara.
Social sanctions and fines according to the mayor's regulations on handling COVID-19. "Social work is meant to feed ODGJ at Pondok Social Environment. About 1x 24 hours there", he said.
