Overthrow Juventus 5-2, Manchester City Top Group G

JAKARTA - Manchester City topped the final standings of Group G after overthrowing Juventus with a score of 5-2 in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup match at Camping World Stadium, Orlando, Friday morning WIB.

In this match Manchester City won thanks to goals from Jeremy Doku, Pierre Kalulu (GBD), Erling Haaland, Phil Foden and Savinho, while goals from Juventus were born from Teun Koopmeiners and Dusan Vlahovic, according to FIFA records as reported by Antara.

Manchester City are in first place in Group G's final standings with nine points from six matches, three points ahead of Juventus in second place.

Furthermore, Manchester City will face second place in Group H's final standings in the last 16 of the Club World Cup, Tuesday (1/7), while Juventus meets Group H winners, the day after.

Statistically Manchester City dominated the game of 77 percent possession and fired 24 of them on target.

City can take the lead quickly in this match when the game has only been running six minutes after Rayan Ait Nouri's pass can be converted into a goal by Jeremy Doku so the score turns to 1-0.

Juventus could respond well and were able to equalize in the 11th minute through a goal scored by Teun Koopmeiners so that the score changed to 1-1 after taking advantage of goalkeeper City Ederson Moraes' error.

Pep Guardiola's squad managed to win again, this time after Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu made a mistake so that the ball went into Michele Di Gregorio's goal and made the score 2-1 in the 26th minute.

Entering the second half, City again demonstrated an attacking game and could increase their lead to 3-1 in the 52nd minute after Matheus Nunes' pass was converted into Erling Haaland's goal.
