Danantara Prepares SOE Land For The 3 Million Houses Program

Danantara's Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Deputy Minister of SOEs Dony Oskaria said the use of land owned by this unproductive state-owned company could be a solution to overcome the problems of home shortages experienced by the community.

We have a lot of unproductive land, which we can collaborate on, which later of course we will do this into a large milestone in the housing project that the President hopes for," he said at the Launch of the Implementation of the Indonesia-Qatar Housing Project at The Ritz-Carlton, Mega Kuningan, Jakarta, Thursday, June 26.

Dony emphasized that community housing projects are a shared responsibility to provide decent and affordable housing.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Hashim Housing Task Force (Satgas) S. Djojohadikusumo said that currently there are around 800 SOEs and their subsidiaries that are under the management of the Danantara, have assets in the form of land.

For example, continued Hashim, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI), Perumnas, and PT Pertamina (Persero) which are being considered as locations for housing development projects. The land is not only located in Jakarta, but is spread across various parts of Indonesia.

Although local government-owned land is also available, continued Hashim, the central government is a top priority in the early stages.
