Trump Ensures America Will Meet Iran To Discuss Nuclear Negotiations After Attack

JAKARTA - US President Donald Trump stressed that his party would hold a meeting with Iran regarding the Iranian nuclear program negotiations.

"We'll talk to them next week, with Iran. We'll probably sign an agreement. I don't know. For me, I don't think that's necessary," Trump said.

Trump believes Tehran will take a diplomatic path to reconciliation. But the US President did not provide details on next week's discussions such as venues and participants.

Trump also stressed that he would not allow Iran's efforts to rebuild its nuclear program.

"We will not let that happen. First of all, militarily we will not," he said.

Once again, Trump praised the US attack on Iran which ended the war between Israel and Tehran quickly.

"(The damage to Iran's nuclear facilities) was severe. It was an culling," he said, ignoring an initial assessment by the US Defense Intelligence Service which said Iran's way of building nuclear weapons may have been hampered by just a few months.

Meanwhile, US Central Intelligence Agency Director John Ratcliffe, claimed US airstrikes had "rustrated" Iran's nuclear program.

The agency confirmed "a number of credible evidence" that several major Iranian facilities were destroyed and would take years to rebuild.

On the other hand, Israel's nuclear agency assessed the US attack had "obstructed Iran's ability to develop nuclear weapons over the years".
