One Family Died Buried In Landslides In Cisewu Garut
Four people in one family died after their houses were affected by landslides that occurred during the rain in Girimukti Village, Cisewu District, Garut Regency, West Java, then the victims were successfully evacuated and immediately buried.
"That's right, one family died as a result of a landslide," said Acting Camat Cisewu Jajang Juhara as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, June 26.
The rain that flushed the area caused a landslide to hit a resident's house in Kiararambai Village, Girimukti Village, Cisewu District, Wednesday (25/6) at around 19.00 WIB.
The victim, he said, was the grandmother and then her son and daughter-in-law, as well as her grandchildren, all of whom died, and were successfully evacuated from the location affected by the landslide at around 22.30 WIB.
"At night until 22.30, three adults, one small child have also been evacuated," he said.
The location of the victim's house was under the flow of water, when it rained there was a landslide or like a flash flood that immediately blocked the house.

The victim's house is quite far from other residents' houses, but at the time of the incident the location of the house was the first to be hit by a landslide.
"The house is below, on the side of the road, ravine downstream, there is a river water channel. There is another resident's house, only that was the first to enter the village," he said.
