Transferred By The National Police Chief, Setyo Budiyanto Remains Chair Of The KPK

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) ensures that Setya Budiyanto remains the Chair of the KPK despite being transferred by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. The mutation carried out by the National Police Chief was only the mastermind behind the retirement framework and was not affected by Setya Budiyanto's position at the KPK.

"In accordance with the telegram letter issued by the National Police Headquarters, which states that Pak Setyo's status as of June 30, 2025, is complete. Pak Setyo will remain at the KPK and carry out his daily duties as Chairman of the KPK," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo in his statement, Wednesday, June 26.

It is known that the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo transferred the Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Setyo Budiyanto and the Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) Eddy Hartono in order to retire.

The mutation was stated in a telegram (ST) with number ST/1421/VI/KEP./2025 dated June 24, 2025. The telegram letter was signed by the Assistant for Human Resources of the National Police Chief Inspector General Pol Anwar.

"Yes (there is a mutation)," said Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karopenmas) of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Pol Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko when confirmed in Jakarta, quoted from Antara.

In a copy of the telegram, it was stated that Komjen Pol Setyo Budiyanto as chairman of the KPK was transferred to become a high-ranking officer (pati) of Itwasum Polri in order to retire.

Meanwhile, Komjen Pol Eddy Hartono as chairman of BNPT was transferred to become the Regent of Densus 88 Anti-terror Police in order to retire.

Apart from the two, there were three other high-ranking officers who were transferred to retirement.

Then, Komjen Pol Lotharia Latif as Acting Director General of Capture Fisheries at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) was transferred to become the Regent of Bareskrim Polri in order to retire.

Finally, Inspector General of Police Djoko Hari Utomo as the main police auditor at the level I Itwasum Polri was transferred to become the Regent of the National Police Education and Training Center in order to retire.

First, Komjen Pol Pudji Prasetijanto Hadi as the secretary general (secretary general) of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) was transferred to become the Regent of Bareskrim Polri in order to retire.
