Prabowo: Underprivileged People Must Get The Best Health Services

DENPASAR - President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that people from underprivileged circles of the economy must be able to access the best health services.

The President reminded his staff not to let the best state-owned hospitals, which are equipped with sophisticated tools and the best doctors, can only be enjoyed by the upper class.

"If necessary, insurance and the government intervene so that underprivileged people in terms of economy can also access the best service, because here there are also sophisticated tools," said President Prabowo Subianto when inaugurating the Sanur Health Special Economic Zone (KEK) and Bali International Hospital (BIH) in Denpasar City, Bali, Wednesday, June 25.

The President emphasized that the state is obliged to protect its people, including in terms of health so that the state is obliged to provide the best health services for the people. Therefore, along with providing the best international standard hospitals, the President also highlighted the importance of strengthening the health insurance system for the community.

"I myself want to convey that my pride in Indonesia has facilities like this, and with our insurance system that we must strengthen, this is also not limited only to the upper class," said the President referring to the international standard hospital which was inaugurated today, Bali International Hospital.

The President appreciated the performance of Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, who has made efforts for sophisticated tools to be available at domestic hospitals.

"I really appreciate the minister of health, we already have a lot of the best and most advanced tools in the world, and are starting to enter Indonesia, and we are now continuing to be students of experts to be able to carry out these tools so that our people will be able to have the best access to health services," continued the President. reported by ANTARA.

Bali International Hospital, which is located in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Sanur Health, is part of the parent company of the BUMN Hospital Pertamina Bina Medika Indonesia Healthcare Corporation (IHC).

BIH occupies an area of 67,000 square meters, with a capacity of 255 beds, eight operating rooms, 38 ICU rooms, and four laboratories. The international standard hospital is designed to be a destination for medical tourism and referrals, as well as serving patients from within and outside the country.

Some of the services available at Bali International Hospital are oncology (cancer treatment), cardiology (cardiac health), emergency services, integrated clinics, radiology and radiotherapy, as well as comprehensive health checks (MCU).

The hospital also has four cancer specialists, who previously had a long career at world-level hospitals abroad, namely dr. Robert Lim, dr. Francis Chin Kuok Choon, dr. Patricia Kho Sunn Sunn, and dr. Tan Yew Oo.
