Interpreting Beauty That Grows From Self-awareness
JAKARTA - Beauty is often associated with outward appearances such as makeup or style of dress. However, basically, beauty can arise from complete self-awareness and acceptance both physically, mentally, and emotionally.
This balance is increasingly recognized by many people as a source of true beauty. According to Zita Liana, a yoga practitioner and influencer, yoga exercises are a means to develop full awareness of the body and mind.
He said yoga is not just physical activity, but a way to be more present in everyday life through mindfulness practices.
"By bringing awareness to the body, mind, and soul, we become more intact in living life," he said in a media discussion in Jakarta, as quoted by ANTARA.
Zita also shares a number of simple routines that can be applied to support a conscious lifestyle, including short meditation in the morning, adequate water consumption, nutritious breakfast, and inserting fun physical activities. According to him, this small step can be an entry point towards a more balanced life.

He added that the application of a minimalist lifestyle can be a form of deep self-care. Individuals who live a life with full awareness usually show increased self-confidence, better posture, and appearances that seem natural without being excessive.
"When someone feels comfortable with themselves, it will be seen from the way they stand, move, and interact," he said.
More than that, Zita emphasized that yoga can help a person be more sensitive to body signals, such as when they feel stressed or exhausted. This sensitivity allows a wiser response in maintaining emotional balance, which ultimately has an effect on outward appearances.
He hopes that the mindful beauty approach can be an alternative perspective in interpreting beauty, not just about appearance, but also about the harmonious relationship between the body, mind, and life as a whole.
