SAR Team Searches For Climbers Falling On Mount Natas Angin Kudus
The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) team of the Jepara SAR Post, Central Java, together with a joint team conducted a search for a climber of Mount Natas Angin in Rahtawu Village, Gebog District, Kudus Regency, who reportedly fell on the hiking trail.
"Until now, the search process is still ongoing starting on Tuesday (24/6) night," said Jepara SAR Post Basarnas Field Coordinator Ali Usman as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 25.
The search effort was resumed to ensure the condition of the victims to be evacuated today.
Head of Daily Executive (Kalakhar) BPBD Kudus Mundir said that his party had indeed received reports of missing climbers allegedly falling on the hiking trail.
"It's just that the victim's data information and the chronology of events have not received reports from volunteers who participated in the search," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Kudus Police, Kompol Eko Pujiyono, said that 10 personnel from Sampta and the Gebog Sector Police were also deployed to help carry out the search since Tuesday (24/6).

The climber who is reported missing is Jovita Diva Prabudawardani (21) a student at a campus in Kudus.
He reportedly fell into a ravine on the hiking trail of Mount Natas Angin in Rahtawu Village, Gebog District, Kudus Regency, on Tuesday (24/6) at 14:10 WIB.
The victim, along with two witnesses, Avika Febiana Wibowo (13) and Willy Restu Mahadewa (15), are down the hiking trail at the peak of Natas Angin.
According to Avika, the victim's neighbors and cousins, the three of them started their journey from home at around 07.00 WIB. Arriving in Rahtawu Village at around 08.00 WIB and continued climbing until it reached the peak of Natas Angin at around 13.00 WIB.
On the way down, the victim and the witness chose the land route which was next to the rock path which was known by residents as the " Dragon path".
About 15 minutes after starting to come down, the victim's friend heard screams and the sound of objects falling, but did not have time to see the victim's fall firsthand.
The second witness, Willy, who was in the group of four people behind the victim, said that at that time the victim was recording the scene while walking before finally slipping and falling into a ravine with a depth of about 50 meters. The victim was seen lying in the middle of a ravine.
After the incident, the witnesses immediately returned to the climbing basecamp to report the incident to the Gebog Police.
As of 22.30 WIB, the victim had not been found, so it was continued today (25/6). A joint team from BPBD Kudus Regency, BASARNAS Jepara, SAR NU Kudus, MDMC Muhammadiyah Kudus, DESTANA Japan Dawe, and Volunteer Abiyoso have been deployed to conduct a search.
