Take A Peek At The Progress Of The Sigli' Banda Aceh Toll Road Which Is Targeted To Be Fully Connected This Year
JAKARTA - The 74.2 kilometer SigliBanda Aceh (Sibanceh) toll road is targeted to be fully connected this year, following the completion of the last two sections which are still in the final stages of construction.
The construction of the first toll road in Aceh Province was carried out by the Ministry of Public Works (PU) together with the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) PT Hutama Karya (Persero).
PU Minister Dody Hanggodo said the construction of the toll road had been carried out in stages since the second semester of 2018 starting from the Indrapuri section of Blang Bintang.
"The Banda Aceh Sigli 'Toll Road consists of 6 sections with a total physical progress of 96.67 percent," said Dody in a written statement, Tuesday, June 24.
Dody detailed, Section 1 Padang Tiji Seulimeum along 24.67 kilometers has now entered the final stages of construction with a physical progress of 99.46 percent. Currently, the section is in the completion stage, such as the construction of toll gates, box culverts and overpasses.
Lalu, Seulimeum 2 Seulimeum Jantho sepanjang 6,26 kilometer telah beroperasi sejak 8 Maret 2022, Seksi 3 Jantho Indrapuri sepanjang 16,37 kilometer beroperasi sejak 26 Februari 2021.
Kemudian, Seksi 4 Indrapuri Bintang sepanjang 14,60 kilometer telah beroperasi sejak 1 Juli 2020 dan Seksi 5 Blang Bintang'kuto Baro sepanjang 7,3 kilometer juga telah beroperasi.
Meanwhile, Section 6 Kuto Baro Intersection Baitussalam along 5 kilometers for the main road has been completed 100 percent. Currently, the construction of the Kutabaro Interchange (SS) is being completed with 87 percent progress.
The Baitussalam Intersection Kutabaro Section is only waiting for the completion of the intersection, while the road is operational.

"With the completion of the last two sections, the entire Sigli 'Banda Aceh Toll Road will be fully connected between Banda Aceh City and Pidie Regency by 2025," said Dody.
He hopes that the Sigli 'Banda Aceh Toll Road will drive regional growth and facilitate the flow of goods and community mobility as well as open access to production and distribution centers in the Aceh region.
"The Sigli 'Banda Aceh Toll Road is one of the main sections (backbone) of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road which is a National Strategic Project (PSN) to encourage economic growth and equity in Aceh," he concluded.
