Local EO Sues Compensation For Maher Zain Concert In Indonesia Which Was Canceled Last Year
PT Scheme Kreasi Nusantara filed a default lawsuit against PT Avennta Performa Indonesia and PT Digital Network Asestik (DNA) to the South Jakarta District Court.
The three companies are parties involved in Maher Zain's concert plan in Indonesia last year, which was canceled. PT Scheme and PT Aventa are companies that organize events (EO), while PT DNA claims to be representatives of the music label Maher Zain, Music Awakening, in Indonesia.
Based on VOI's search from the Case Investigation Information System (SIPP) of the South Jakarta District Court, the lawsuit was registered on May 19, with case number 499 / Pdt.G / 2025 / PN JKT.SEL.
The scheme stating that it had sent Rp794,250,000 to DNA, in its lawsuit demanding a refund, along with immaterial compensation arising amounting to Rp1,262,480,000.
The trial of the default lawsuit was held on Monday, June 23, but PT DNA as the defendant did not attend the trial or send his attorney.
For information, the three companies made Cooperation Agreements (PKS) to hold Maher Zain concerts in Jakarta and Surabaya on March 14, 2024.

However, on his way, the concert was canceled, even though the Scheme had issued a sum of money as a down payment (DP) for the benefit of financing Maher Zain's concert in Indonesia.
Previously, the scheme sent a subpoena to DNA on November 28, 2024. The subpoena was answered through a team of attorneys, in which DNA asked the Scheme to provide opportunities and flexibility to realize Maher Zain's concert.
On January 20, DNA promised a Scheme for cooperation in organizing the Islamic Music and Culture Festival as a solution to restore DP Concert Maher Zain.
However, until the lawsuit was registered, the promise had not been realized, both for the Maher Zain concert and the Islamic Music and Culture Festival.
