Voi Today: Jokowi's Diplomas Are Questioned, What Should The President's Education History Be?
JAKARTA - Joko Widodo's 7th Presidential certificate is said to have been made at the Scout Market. This was revealed by senior PDIP politician Beathor Suryadi in the Facebook Podcast Up Abraham Samad, June 22.
It was discovered on May 22, that the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police stated that the High School Certificate and Jokowi's undergraduate diploma were authentic and identical to the comparison diploma. Not only Jokowi, the authenticity of the diploma of Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, Jokowi's eldest son, was also questioned. Circulating photos of Ijazah Gibran with a lower second class honor from the University of Bradford, Singapore.
A netizen stated that this value was considered equivalent to a 2.3 GPA in Indonesia. In fact, to become President and Vice President in Indonesia, you don't have to go to higher education.
Because based on Article 169 Letter R of Law No. 7 of 2017 concerning Elections, the educational requirements for presidential and vice presidential candidates in Indonesia only graduate from high school or equivalent. There is no mention of a minimum graduation requirement to lead this country.
Whereas in Indonesia, many companies provide minimum undergraduate education requirements in job vacancies. Even the GPA requirement is at least 3.
