Cianjur Prosecutor's Office Searches Dishub's Office For Road Light Corruption
CIANJUR - The District Attorney's Office (Kejari) of Cianjur, West Java, searched and brought a number of document files from the Transportation Service (Dishub) office regarding allegations of corruption in the procurement of public street lighting (PJU) for the 2023 fiscal year.
The head of the Cianjur Kejari, Kamin, said that no one has been named a suspect because he is still in the search stage for allegations of corruption in the procurement of PJU for several sub-districts in the southern and northern Cianjur with a budget of Rp40 billion.
"Temporary suspicion is that there is a fictitious report in the procurement of the prosecutor, so details need to be carried out later. After the process is complete, the suspect will be determined because it is currently still in the process of being examined and collecting documents," he said.
Prosecutors' officers searched a number of rooms at the Cianjur Transportation Agency office and secured documents in several boxes related to the PJU procurement report.
The search process, which was carried out from morning to noon, was under strict supervision from the TNI/Polri apparatus.
A number of entrances to the agency's room were guarded by fully armed officers, so not everyone could go in and out during the search.
Prior to conducting the search, the Prosecutor's Office had asked for information from 30 witnesses including state civil servants (ASN) within the Cianjur Transportation Agency regarding the alleged corruption in the procurement of PJU.
"After completing the complete document, we immediately determined the suspect in the alleged PJU corruption case for several sub-districts in the southern and northern regions of Cianjur Regency," he said.
