Israel Attacks Iran's Famous Evin Prison

JAKARTA - The Israeli military attacked the entrance to Iran's famous Evin prison on Monday. Israel again carried out attacks from Sunday night to continuing Monday targeting Iranian military facilities.

This was conveyed by the Israeli Defense Minister and Iranian news, in Israel's latest attack on the capital, Tehran.

A massive black cloud was seen covering the entrance to the EVin prison, in a video published by Iranian state broadcaster IRIB.

The video shows the moment the gate to prison is "targeted," said IRIB news.

Israeli Defense Minister Katz confirmed Evin's prison was targeted, along with several other locations, including the main building of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Basij headquarters (IRGC paramilitary wing).

Security forces at the detention center of Evin are known for their long record of human rights abuses. Political activists, journalists, and musicians are among those who have been imprisoned at the facility.
