Minister Budi Santoso Issues Permendag 14 Of 2025, Regulates Promotional Procedures For Trade
JAKARTA - Trade Minister Budi Santoso issued Minister of Trade Regulation (Permendag) Number 14 of 2025 concerning Procedures for Implementation, Ease, and Participation in Trade Promotion in the Context of Indonesian Imaging Activities.
Budi said the Permendag regulates in detail two forms of trade promotion activities, namely foreign trade exhibitions and trade missions.
Furthermore, Budi explained, this regulation is a concrete step for the government in strengthening competitiveness and the existence of Indonesian products in the international market through the delivery of consistent and uniform national identities.
"This Permendag is a concrete effort by the government in building the competitiveness and existence of Indonesian products in the international market while strengthening the nation's identity through uniform symbols and visuals," Budi said in an official statement, Monday, June 23.
At the trade show, continued Budi, it is regulated regarding technical provisions for the minimum land area and exhibition booth design standards. The minimum land area regulated at this Permendag is 3,500 m2 for implementation and 36 m2 for participation as participants.
"The fulfillment of this minimum area can be done independently and together between government agencies, both at the central and regional levels. The booth design is required to include the Citra Indonesia logo as an official identity," he said.
As for the trade mission, Permendag regulates implementation provisions that consist at least of business forums and exploring business matching. The business forum is carried out in the form of a business meeting involving elements of the government and local state business actors.
Meanwhile, business matching is carried out in the form of a meeting between Indonesian business actors and local state business actors to get trade contact.
"At this Permendag, the Ministry of Trade has appointed the Directorate General of National Export Development to coordinate all trade promotion activities. Every activity is reported periodically and coordinated with Indonesian representatives abroad, including in the preparation stage to evaluation," said Budi.
Budi said this Permendag also regulates curation of the products and business actors that will be involved, as well as the use of symbols and official visual elements of Citra Indonesia as stipulated in Presidential Regulation Number 32 of 2019.
The attachment of this regulation includes guidelines for the use of visual elements such as the National Puspa pattern, red-and-white color, and a fasia board with the theme of the Archipelago Square.
As a form of support for business actors, the government also provides various supporting facilities in the implementation of trade promotions, such as providing exhibition booths, meeting rooms, and providing information.
"The government provides convenience for business actors, in the form of exhibition booth assistance, market information and potential buyers, trading mission meeting rooms, and translators," he explained.

For your information, the regulation was prepared as the implementation of the mandate of Government Regulation Number 29 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of the Trade Sector and became an official guideline for ministries and government agencies, as well as local governments in carrying out trade promotions to build a positive image of Indonesia in the global market.
The Minister of Trade Regulation Number 14 of 2025 is set for May 8, 2025 and will take effect since it was promulgated, on May 14, 2025.
