Paul Pogba Will Join AS Monaco With A Two-Year Contract
JAKARTA - Former Manchester United and Juventus midfielders Paul Pogba will sign a contract with Ligue 1 club AS Monaco.
According to ESPN, Pogba has verbally approved a two-year contract with the French club after rejecting a big deal from the Saudi Arabian Pro League club.
In February 2024, Pogba was sentenced to a four-year ban from playing after he tested positive for DHEA, a banned substance.
In October 2024, the sentence was reduced to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration Sports (CAS) after the appeal. The ban expires in March 2025.

Pogba later revealed to ESPN that he was considering retiring after initially being sentenced to a four-year ban.
"Yes, I have a lot of thoughts on my head. I have so many thoughts to stop playing."
"I was like: 'What would I do?' If it was four years, you start counting it in your head. Four years of not playing, practicing--Which club would want me?"
"Will I be fit and things like that, you create a lot of pictures on your head."
"However, on the other hand, I clearly have faith and I am positive. I know I didn't make a mistake on purpose, so fortunately it happened and they reduced it," he said in October 2024.
Pogba's last game was 29 minutes for Juventus in September 2023. The last time he played a full 90-minute game was with Manchester United in March 2022.
