Bank DKI Rebranding To Become Bank Jakarta, President Director: Not Cosmetics
JAKARTA - President Director of PT Bank DKI Agus H. Widodo emphasized that changing the name of the brand or rebranding of Bank DKI to Bank Jakarta is not solely changing the packaging of regional development banks belonging to the DKI Provincial Government.
"We want the people of Jakarta to feel that this change is not cosmetic, but reflects an in-depth commitment to becoming a strong bank financially, healthy in governance, and a real presence in people's lives," said Agus.
Agus explained that this rebranding is not only a visual change, but reflects the comprehensive transformation that is ongoing within Bank DKI, which includes strengthening governance, risk management, and professional work culture.
Then, accelerate digital transformation and integrate ecosystem-based services. Then, modernize IT infrastructure and increase cyber security. Furthermore, the participation of intermediation functions, credit productivity, as well as the acquisition of low-cost funds in a sustainable manner.
In addition to call names, Bank Jakarta also has a new logo that still displays the essence of the National Monument (Monas), but with a more modern visual approach, namely three diagonal lines without a dividing circle.
As for the color selection, Bank Jakarta has changed from red to orange, based on closer considerations with Jakarta's identity and Betawi culture.
"Red orange is expected to reflect Jakarta's creative energy and optimism, with black expected to provide the foundation of institutional trust," he explained.

It is known that Bank DKI officially rebranded to Bank Jakarta. This new trademark change was inaugurated by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, to coincide with the 498th Anniversary of the City of Jakarta.
The rebranding of Bank Jakarta is one of the stages towards the initial public offering in 2026. This rebranding is also part of a strategic step in preparing the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 2 of 2024 concerning the Province of the Special Region of Jakarta.
Pramono assessed that Bank Jakarta could start offering its initial shares to the public if banks were managed professionally. He emphasized the importance of public supervision of state-owned banks so that transparency is maintained and the IPO target is met.
"Bank Jakarta must be able to as soon as possible. I'm sure Bank Jakarta can. The keywords remain professionalism and the people who manage it," said Pramono.
In addition, Pramono hopes that Bank Jakarta will not only be the pride of Jakarta, but also be able to compete globally.
"I want Bank Jakarta to become a professional bank and make Jakarta residents proud, and can advance to class," he said.
