Man City Vs PSG: Parisiens Lessons Must Be Balanced, Aggressive And Clinical

JAKARTA - Mauricio Pochettino has targeted Paris Saint-Germain to score at least two goals when he visits the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City in the second leg of the Champions League on Tuesday evening local time (Wednesday WIB).

The reason is, PSG bore the burden of the 1-2 defeat they suffered from the first leg at the Parc des Princes, a week ago.

To reverse this gap, Pochettino said PSG must be able to appear balanced, aggressive and clinical whenever they get the chance at Etihad.

"We have to find a balance between possession and counter-attack. We have to be clinical, aggressive and ready to perform for the full 90 minutes," Pochettino said in a pre-match press conference.

"We have to score two goals to reach the final, that is what we will pursue," he added.

Pochettino is aware of the aggregate score while making his players have to be ready to take risks and be brave if they are to turn things around.

On the other hand, the Argentinean tactician has yet to guarantee whether his star, Kylian Mbappe, will be able to appear at the Etihad.

According to Pochettino, Mbappe is still undergoing a separate training session from the team, but whatever decisions are made regarding Mbappe, he stressed that his team must still be confident in the potential in the squad.

"We have to take a closer look at Kylian Mbappe. He trained separately this afternoon to see if he could join the team tomorrow. His decision was after that," he said.

"Our system will remain the same: believe in the potential that exists in this team," concluded Pochettino.
