North Korea Condemns Attack On Iran: America Brutally Steps On Sovereign Countries

JAKARTA - North Korea strongly condemns the United States (US) attack on Iran. The US attack is called a gross violation of the security and territorial rights interests of sovereign countries.

"The United States and Israel are the root causes of current tensions in the Middle East born of acts of war and the relentless expansion of Jerusalem received and pushed by the West," the North Korean Foreign Ministry said.

"(We) strongly condemn the attack on Iran by the US which brutally trampled on territorial integrity and sovereign state security interests," the unnamed spokesman said in a statement broadcast by the KCNA news agency.

"The fair international community must voice condemnation and unanimous rejection of the US and Israeli confrontational actions," the statement continued.

Iran and North Korea have maintained friendly relations and have been under suspicion for decades of military cooperation including in the development of ballistic missiles.
