Xbox Collaborates With AMD To Develop Advanced Gaming Chips And New Consoles
JAKARTA - Microsoft Gaming has announced a multi-year strategic partnership with AMD to develop chip technology (silicon) across their portfolios, including consoles for the latest generation, handheld devices, PCs, and cloud services.
This move is part of Xbox's commitment to providing a long-lasting gaming platform that allows players to play across devices in new ways.
In its official announcement, Xbox President Sarah Bond stated that this collaboration will bring next-generation graphic and artificial intelligence (AI) innovations to various gaming devices.
On Xbox, our vision is for you to play the games you want with the people you want, wherever you want. That's why we invest in our next-generation hardware line-up through consoles, handles, PCs, clouds, and accessories," Sarah said in an announcement via video uploads.
This partnership includes not only the development of custom chips for next-generation Xbox consoles, but also creates full-body gaming chip roadmaps that combine AMD Ryzen and AMD Radeon performances.
