Only Selebtwit Can Use Space On Twitter
JAKARTA - Twitter has officially launched the Spaces feature this week. However, unfortunately Twitter's newest feature cannot be enjoyed by all users. The new Spaces feature can be used by Twitter users who have a minimum follower of 600 or more or you could say celebtwit.
The Spaces feature brings a new experience similar to an audio-based app called Clubhouse. Users can participate in a virtual room to listen or chat with other users.
Previously, Twitter had officially introduced this feature some time ago. Twitter has been testing Spaces in November 2020, as reported by CNBC International on Tuesday, May 4.
This new feature is predicted to increase the number of new Twitter users to 315 million users by the end of 2023. The Spaces feature will appear at the top as the Stories feature. While live-audio, Spaces will turn purple.
For users who want to participate in the topic of conversation in the virtual room, they just need to press the purple circle. In the virtual space, users can write tweets or send messages directly to the host.
Apart from that, the host user of Spaces can also invite other people to join. The host can also determine the people who will talk and delete the participants who make noise in the meeting.
Twitter revealed that the party is currently designing Ticket Spaces. Other users who wish to join the chat must first purchase the ticket.
This is an attempt by Twitter to monetize so that event organizers and hosts on Spaces can earn revenue. The Spaces feature is a new audio-based service.
Since the appearance of Clubhouse, a number of other social media platforms have been competing to follow the same thing. Apart from Twitter, Facebook is also rumored to have announced a similar feature. Spotify is also rumored to be bringing audio-based features such as Clubhouse.
