Xpeng Reveals Reasons For X9 Being Priced High In Indonesia

JAKARTA - Erajaya Active Lifestyle (ERAL), as the single agent of Xpeng brand holder (ATPM) in Indonesia, officially launched a luxury MPV called X9 recently.

Xpeng X9 greets the national market at prices ranging from IDR 990 million for Standard Range, IDR 1.059 billion for the Long Range Pro variant, and IDR 1.099 billion for Long Range Pro +.

This price is certainly higher when compared to cars from China in general in Indonesia which are set from Rp. 300 million to Rp. 600 million.

Nevertheless, Xpeng is confident that X9 can be a model that can compete with fellow Chinese brand competitors.

Vice President Marketing Xpeng Indonesia, Hari Arifianto said that branding doses are above and more premium when compared to other Chinese brands.

"Mereka (brand China lain) bersaing di segmen bawah ya dan mungkin yang bisa disampaikan adalah posisiing brandnya Xpeng itu memang di premium luxury," kata Hari saat diterangi wartawan di angka Tebet, Jakarta, Kamis, 19 Juni lalu.

Not only that, he also explained that Xpeng offers different vehicles on various sides, one of which is about building quality.

"Then what is no less important is build quality, which of course cannot be traded off. If the price is that much, yes, that's how much it is. However, the thing we want to convey is the overall package that we convey to customers can still be optimal," added Hari.

Hari also revealed that there are many other things in X9 that its competitors have not offered, for example, the presence of the zero gravity seat feature and the efficiency of the battery is different.

"In this class, who can provide zero gravity seat? Which one can provide efficiency to the battery use and battery claim? X9 is no more than 3.1 percent. So if the claim is 500 km, the actual use can be less than 3.1 percent," explained Hari.

In addition, Hari explained that Xpeng X9 offers suspension water and is guaranteed for 8 years if there is unwanted damage or failure.

"Another example in that class does anyone give water suspension and is guaranteed for up to 8 years? Does it mean that you believe in the quality given? Now what I think is a process. Not only about branding but also education," said Hari.

On the same occasion, Xpeng also inaugurated the sale of the G6 electric crossover at a price of IDR 599 million on The Road Jakarta and was offered in the single Standard Range 2WD variant.
