Dozens Of Indonesian Junior Racers Compete To Enter The VR46 Academy
Dozens of Indonesian junior racers at the Mandalika Racing Series (MRS) round 2 event at the Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) are starting to compete to seize the opportunity to study at Valentino Rossi's VR46 academy school in Italy.
"There are four racers who will be sent or given guidance to study at the VR46 Academy in Italy," said Head of Organizing Committee of Pride Arief Syahbani at Mandalika Central Lombok, Saturday.
The MRS round 2 racing event, which was held on June 21-22, 2025, was attended by 139 racers who will compete in 8 classes, four of which are national championships.
"The total number of racers in this event is 139 people. For racers who compete, they can enter the VR46 academy school, there are 32 junior racers," he said.
This Mandalika Racing Series event is an important momentum for racers to get points, so they can take part in coaching at the VR46 academy school.

"They will study for five days and depart from July 28 to August 2, 2025," he said.
Managing Director of MGPA Priandi Satria said specifically for the 150 U-15 Junior Sport Class racers and the community also participated in a special trackday session entitled Mandiri Mandalika Superbike School.
"They received special briefing from trainers Ahmad Jayadi and Nico Julian Chandra to improve their racing skills," he said.
This activity is related to the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Riders Academy program which will choose four young Indonesian racers to be sent to Valentino Rossi's racing academy.
"The Pertamina Mandalika Racing Series has become a barometer of motorcycle racing in Indonesia because it has bridged the achievements of national racers to international levels," he said.
MGPA continues to encourage the achievements of Indonesian racers to be able to take part in the international arena, including supporting the birth of potential young talents through the Pertamina Mandalika Racing Series.
This second round will determine the four young racers who will be sent to Italy through the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Riders Academy program. This is a golden opportunity for Indonesian racers to learn more intensively at world racing academies.
