Bank Indonesia Ensures Rupiah Money Edition 80 Years Of Indonesian Independence Is A Hoax
JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) ensures that Rupiah's 80th edition of the Independence Year of the Republic of Indonesia which is circulating through videos on social media is a hoax.
"I'll just inform you that it's a hoax and it's been informed through BI's social media," said BI Money Management Department Director Hari Widodo when confirmed by Antara in Jakarta, Friday.
BI emphasized that until now the central bank has not issued the latest Rupiah Independence Commemoration (UPK) money.
This was conveyed by BI on Friday through its official social media accounts such as Instagram, X (Twitter), to TikTok.
The last UPK issued by BI was rupiah banknotes in denominations of Rp75,000 in the context of the 75th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence in 2020.
Previously, videos circulating widely on social media showed banknotes with the Rupiah narration of the 80th edition of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Year.
The money has a gray base color, written on the one hand 80 Years of Independence: Unity, Sovereign, and Achievement in Pancasila. MERDEKA !!.
