Mohamed Salah And Bruno Fernandes Fight For The Premier League Player Of The Year Award
Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah and Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes are on the list of players nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award (Professional Footballers Association) or the 2024/2025 Premier League.
This award was chosen by the players at the end of every season, with the winner to be announced at a ceremony at the Manchester Opera House on August 19, 2025.
Midfielders Alexis Mac Allister and Declan Rice were also nominated after performing brilliantly with Liverpool and Arsenal. Cole Palmer from Chelsea and Alexander Isak from Newcastle United completed the list of six players who were nominated.
Salah, who previously won the award in 2017/2018 and 2021/2022, was favorite to win this year after enjoying an impressive season with Liverpool.

His teammate, Mac Allister, was also recognized for his important role in Liverpool's league win. The Argentine international has made 35 league appearances for his club last season.
Portugal international Bruno Fernandes has been nominated for his impressive individual appearance despite Manchester United's overall poor journey in the 2024/2025 league season.
The 30-year-old contributed eight league goals and 10 assists to his team during the campaign and became the player with the most goals contribution in European League history after guiding his team to the final.
Last season's Young Player of the Year, Cole Palmer, was nominated for the grand prize this year, having scored 15 goals in the Premier League to help Chelsea secure the Champions League for next season.
Meanwhile, Isak from Newcastle secured his first PFA Player of the Year nomination after a fantastic campaign in which he scored 23 league goals and helped Eddie Howe's team win the first major trophy in more than 50 years after scoring in the League Cup final at Wembley.
Completing this list is Declan Rice, who scored the highest goals in his career, nine goals, in one season for Arsenal, with 10 assists in 52 games in all competitions.
