Ministry Of Health And Philips Sign MoU To Strengthen Indonesia's Health System

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia is establishing strategic cooperation with Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHILIA), a global company in the field of health technology, by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen the transformation of the national health system.

This signing is an important milestone in the government's efforts to strengthen the resilience of the Indonesian health system through the development of clinical capacity, digitization of health services, and the establishment of training centers and technical services in various regions.

Health System Transformation

According to the Secretary-General of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Kunta Wibawa Dasa Nugraha, this collaboration is in line with the digital transformation agenda and modernization of health services.

"Through this collaboration, we want to ensure that health services in Indonesia are technology-based and have global competitiveness," he said.

Philips himself has been operating in Indonesia for more than 120 years, with more than 3,900 employees spread across 15 cities and has local production facilities in the personal health sector.

Philips has also established strategic partnerships with a number of major hospitals such as RSJPD Harapan Kita, Siloam Hospitals, and Mandaya Royal Hospital Puri, in order to improve clinical capabilities through integrated technology and solutions.

Long-Term Commitment To Equal Health

Each technical program resulting from the MoU will be followed up through a cooperation agreement with the relevant directorates at the Ministry of Health, such as: Directorate General of Primary Health and Community, Directorate General of Advanced Health and Directorate General of Human Resources Health

In addition, Philips actively conducts medical personnel training through various methods such as direct training, class courses, webinars, and workshops that have reached thousands of health workers throughout Indonesia.
