Jakarta Give Tips And Tricks To Build MRT To Bali Provincial Government
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said the DKI Provincial Government is collaborating with the Bali Provincial Government regarding the construction of mass rapid transit (MRT). In this collaboration, the DKI Provincial Government helps Bali to prepare MRT development planning in its area.
"Bali initiated to have MRT like Jakarta. The only area in Indonesia that has experience to set up MRT is only Jakarta. So the Bali government learns to go to Jakarta for this," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Friday, June 20.
Later, the DKI Provincial Government will help the Bali Provincial Government to design MRT routes to provide consultations to find investors who are capitalizing on construction to the management of rail-based public transportation on the Island of the Gods.
"We provide assistance in terms of technical, financial, not money, but how can we get finances to run the MRT," said Pramono.

Meanwhile, the development of MRT in Jakarta is currently ongoing. Currently, the MRT Jakarta construction project is being carried out in phase 2A with the north-south crossing reaching 47.91 percent as of May 2025.
Along with that, Pramono also plans to expand the phase 1 MRT route from Lebak Bulus Station to South Tangerang, Banten.
"For the expansion of Jakarta to South Tangerang, we will prepare it. I have asked the MRT president director to sit down with the Banten Government if it becomes something that is taken seriously," said Pramono.
"If later Phase 2 from the HI-Monas Roundabout is completed, hopefully it will be completed in 2029, then Jakarta is one of the areas with experience to message this MRT for a long time, then the next phase 3, 4 will be carried out soon," he continued.
Meanwhile, on Friday, June 13, Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno made a working visit to Bali Province.
