Florian Wirtz Will Be Inaugurated By Liverpool Before The End Of This Week?
JAKARTA - Florian Wirtz is expected to complete the club's record transfer from Bayer Leverkusen to Liverpool on Friday, June 20, 2025, local time.
Last week, ESPN reported Liverpool had agreed to sign the German international in a deal that could reach 116 million, after two offers were rejected by Leverkusen.
The Bundesliga club finally received an initial payment of 100 million pounds, plus a bonus of up to 16 million pounds.
Sources summarized by ESPN say that if the addition is carried out, Wirtz's transfer fee will exceed the transfer fee of Moises Caicedo, who joined Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer of 2023.

Wirtz is now expected to fly to Merseyside to complete his medical examination, with the move to be completed before the weekend.
Liverpool managed to beat Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Real Madrid in an effort to get the 22-year-old's signature.
Senior figures Anfield hopes he can have the same transformational impact, such as Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker, since they joined in 2018.
Wirtz will be Liverpool's second signing player this summer after the arrival of former teammate at Leverkusen, Jeremie Frimpong, whose release clause of 29.5 million pounds was activated last month.
Meanwhile, ESPN also reported last weekend that Liverpool had agreed to a deal for Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez, which is worth around 45 million euros.
