Injured Victims Of Iranian Missile Attacks In Israel Soared To Dozens Of People

JAKARTA - Israel's emergency services said 65 people were injured in Iran's latest wave of attacks on Thursday.

Three people are in serious condition, including an 80-year-old man and two around 70-year-old women, reports Israeli emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA), Thursday, June 19.

Meanwhile, 42 people suffered minor injuries from shrapnel and blast trauma.

A total of 18 other people were injured while running to the shelter.

The MDA team provided medical treatment in several locations and evacuated victims to hospitals.

Meanwhile, Israeli President Isaac Herzog said Iranian missile attacks that damaged the Soroka hospital in southern Israel targeted civilians.

"A baby is in intensive care. A mother beside their bed. A doctor rushed between beds. An elderly resident in a nursing home. These are some of the targets of Iranian missile attacks on Israeli civilians this morning," he wrote in a statement on X.

The Soroka Medical Center in the city of Be'er-Sheva in southern Israel was badly damaged by the Iranian attack.

"I sent strength and support to the medical team, patients, and residents of Be'er Sheva as well as all cities attacked throughout Israel this morning," Herzog said.

"At times like this, we are reminded of what is really at stake, and the values we defend," he added.
