Troubled Rem Pedal, More Than 259 Thousand Honda Cars Withdrawn Again In The US

JAKARTA - Honda was hit by bad issues in the United States (US). The reason is, the well-known Japanese manufacturer had to withdraw as many as 259,033 units that affected the safety of driving on the highway.

Reuters reported on Thursday, June 19, the vehicle was hit by a recall caused by a damaged brake pedal that could shift from its position so that it could thwart braking.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), errors in this system have the potential to endanger vehicle drivers and other road users.

The road safety independent institution in Uncle Sam's country also reported that the affected models consisted of Honda Pilot 2023-2025 and two vehicles from Acura, such as TLX issued 2021-2025 and MDX 2023-2025.

This is another recall from Honda after January this year, where the manufacturer announced the recall of vehicles of around 295,000 units.

The recall was due to a problem with the Fuel Injection Electronic Control Unit (FI-ECU) software.

This recall was also announced by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), on Wednesday, January 29. Tertuang, the affected model is production from 2021 to 2025.

If in more detail, the affected model involves Acura MDX Type S with production in 2022-2025, besides that there is a Honda Pilot produced in 2023-2025 and finally Acura TLX Type S with a production year of 2021-2025.
