Israeli Military Asks Residents In Iran's Arrak-Khondab To Evacuate
JAKARTA - Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued an evacuation warning to residents in Arak and Khondab, western Iran, Thursday morning.
"The IDF continues to operate in the area, as it has done in recent days across Iran, targeting the Iranian regime's military infrastructure," the IDF's Persian channel said.
The IDF warns residents to immediately flee marked areas around the city of Arak-Khondab.
"Your presence in this area endangers your life," said the IDF.
The red circle marked in the IDF statement matches Google's satellite image of the Arak nuclear facility, which consists of a heavy water reactor and a heavy water production plant.
The site has worried the West because heavy water (or deuterium oxide) can be used to produce plutonium, the second path to a potential nuclear bomb.
