Again Absent From Police Calls, Edward Akbar Is Considered To Be Hampering Cases Of Alleged Car Embezzlement

JAKARTA - The case of alleged car embezzlement that Kimberly Border reported against her ex-husband, Edward Akbar, is still ongoing at the South Jakarta Metro Police.

Kimberly Border's attorney, Machi Ahmad, said that Edward had been absent from the mediation summons twice over this case so that his party claimed Edward was hindering this case.

"Yes (Edward hindered the case), the first mediation irregular was not present. We have also informed his attorney, the second he also promised in May to attend the mediation process but there is no news either," said Machi Ahmad at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Wednesday, June 18.

"From several summons from the South Police, the letter was returned," Machi continued.

Machi said that this mediation call would not only discuss the case of alleged car embezzlement but also the fate of the joint assets that had been owned by his clients and Edward.

"And finally I tried DM because this is for the benefit of clients, where there are joint assets that are home in Bali, where Kim bought them and the construction is also our clients who work, who buy all the goods," explained Machi.

"And that also has to be a conversation between the two parties, and there is still a child about how this child is," he continued.

Machi felt that Edward's actions seemed to be carried out to buy time to resolve this case.

"We might think that (taking time)," he said.

As a result of Edward's actions, Machi emphasized that the case of alleged car embezzlement reported by his client had stalled.

"Yes. This status is still an investigation to strengthen the increase, title of the case and investigation, criminal elements must be found," he said.

"That's why we have to, from the reported party, we should also cooperate, including a car. Where is the car until now we don't know," he said.
