Prabowo-Putin To Meet Until Lunch At The Palace
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in a bilateral meeting with the delegations of the two countries until they have lunch together at the status Palace or Konstantinovsky, Saint Petersburg.
Foreign Minister Sugiono said President Prabowo's visit was an important part of Indonesia-Russia bilateral diplomacy, while strengthening Indonesia's role in global issues.
"(The president) will carry out state visits to President Vladimir Putin. As usual, this state visit has several processes, there are bilateral meetings that are usually closed with lunches," said Foreign Minister Sugiono as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, June 19.
After arriving in Russia on Wednesday afternoon (18/6) at Pulkovo Airport, President Prabowo will start his second day in St. Petersburg, Russia, by laying a wreath at the Heroes Cemetery as a form of respect.
The agenda will then proceed with a bilateral meeting with President Putin and end with a lunch.
Regarding the topics to be discussed in bilateral meetings, Foreign Minister Sugiono ensured that discussions were not only related to bilateral issues. The meeting of the two heads of state will also cover regional and global issues.
"I'm sure the two leaders will also talk about issues both regionally and globally," said Foreign Minister Sugiono.
Then on Friday (20/6), the Head of State is scheduled to be one of the speakers at the 2025 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
This prestigious forum is a meeting place for leaders of countries and global economic stakeholders.
"Mr. President will be invited to speak at the Plenary Session of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2025 which is the final of a series of Presidential visits to Russia," said Foreign Minister Sugiono.
