Foreign Minister Sa'ar Says Israel Will Continue Attacks Against Iran

JAKARTA - Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar said Israel would continue the attack on Iran until its goal is achieved, while speaking in front of more than 30 foreign ambassadors in Bat Yam City.

Israel launched airstrikes on Iran in its "Raising Lion" operation on Friday morning last week, targeting targets of Iran's nuclear and military facilities.

Iran responded to the attack by attacking a number of targets in several Israeli regions with drones and missiles.

Iran "made a mistake" by trying to thwart an Israeli attack by "deliberately targeting population centers and killing civilians," Foreign Minister Sa'ar told ambassadors, quoted by The Times of Israel June 18.

"They don't understand that Israelis are strong and strongly support Operation Rising Lion," he added.

According to a statement from the office of Foreign Minister Sa'ar, those present included ambassadors from Italy, Poland, India, Canada, Czech Republic, Spain, Austria, Norway, Sweden and other countries attending a briefing at the location of the Iranian attack.

"I want you to know: No negotiations have been made, and operations will continue until we reach our goals," said Foreign Minister Sa'ar.
