Hashim Djojohadikusumo Invites Gerindra Cedres To Stay Humble, Nikson Silalahi Elected As Chairman Of 2025-2030

JAKARTA - The National Congress of the Great Indonesia Christian Movement (Gekira), the wing of the Gerindra Party organization, officially appointed Nikson Silalahi as General Chair of Gekira for the 2025 '2030 period. The event which took place at the NT Tower Ballroom, East Jakarta, on June 7' 8 2025 also appointed Jeremias Ndoen as Secretary General and Dimpos Tampubolon as General Treasurer.

The senior figure of the Gerindra Party, Hashim Djojohadikusumo, is again trusted as Chairman of the Gekira Advisory Board. In his closing speech, Hashim reminded that Gerindra and Gekira were not just political parties, but political struggle movements that had to fight for the welfare of the people, maintain Pancasila, and advance the nation's economy.

"We are political fighters, not just party cadres. We want Indonesia to become a just, prosperous and prosperous country," said Hashim, who also serves as Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Party Board of Trustees.

He also emphasized the importance of keeping Pancasila from efforts that want to change the basis of the country, and calling for power to be carried out with humility.

Fary Djemy Francis: I Think It's A Corong Of Christian Values In Gerindra

Fary Djemy Francis, General Chair of Gekira for the 2019-2025 period, is now the Chairman of the Organizational Advisory Council. In his remarks, Fary thanked the cadres for their support during his tenure, including when Gekira faced pressure for supporting Prabowo Subianto.

Fary also expressed his pride in being appointed by President Prabowo as a special envoy at the inauguration of Pope Leo XIV. He emphasized that Gekira is a strategic forum for Christians to take part in politics through the Gerindra Party.

"Gekira is a field for Christians to be involved in positive changes for the nation and state," he said.

Nikson Silalahi Ready To Continue The Struggle

As the elected chairman, Nikson expressed his appreciation to Fary Djemy Francis for the solid regeneration process. He emphasized his commitment to bringing Gekira more actively in voicing the aspirations of Christians as well as supporting President Prabowo's government programs, including Asta Cita.

Nikson also emphasized the importance of Gekira's role as a liaison between the Gerindra Party and Indonesian Christians, as well as a symbol of the spirit of diversity that Gerindra upholds.

"Gekira is the envoy of Christians in fighting for equality, and at the same time the Gerindra Party's envoy to guarantee protection for all religious communities in Indonesia," said Nikson.

The elected Secretary General, Yeremias Ndoen, highlighted the importance of Gekira cadres becoming a pioneer of polite and soothing communication in the era of information disclosure. He emphasized that the value of unity, peace, and the spirit of tolerance are the keys to answering the challenges of the times. "Let us be a bridge of unity as President Prabowo has always emphasized and in accordance with the spirit of Pope Leo XIV," he concluded.
