Eating Free Nutrition In Ciputat Given Raw Materials, This Is What The Head Of BGN Said
JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has clarified the provision of a Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program in the form of raw materials for five days at once in South Tangerang, Banten, which is currently in the spotlight on social media.
Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana said that until now there has been no official policy regulating the distribution of MBG in the form of raw materials during the school holidays.
"There is no such BGN policy (providing the MBG raw material menu). Currently, BGN is still compiling technical instructions (juknis) for the implementation of the MBG program during school holidays," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 18.
He said the preparation of the technical guidelines considers various aspects, including the pattern of attendance of students and the sustainability of providing nutritional intake effectively.
To formulate the right and adaptive policies, BGN has asked the heads of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in various regions to conduct direct surveys of students. This is to find out the intensity of their attendance to the school to take MBG.
"If students can still come to school, then MBG will be given in the form of fresh food or fresh food, and students can also be provided with longer lasting foods, such as eggs, fruit, and milk for the next one or two days," he said.
However, he emphasized, if the majority of students cannot attend school during the holiday period, BGN will adjust program distribution with a focus on other vulnerable groups, namely pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and children under five, so that nutritional benefits are still channeled optimally.
"We ensure that every policy taken remains based on the principles of equitable nutrition, effectiveness of distribution, and sustainability of benefits. There is no unilateral decision regarding the MBG sharing format without a policy basis from BGN," he said.
BGN also emphasized that the entire policy process was carried out by prioritizing the principles of prudence, accountability, and effectiveness of benefits. BGN will also continue to socialize policy developments to the public in a transparent manner.

Head of SPPG Yasmit Ciputat Timur Abasiro said the distribution of MBG with raw materials was actually done by his party to thousands of students in 18 schools from PAUD/TK to SMA equivalent.
"Yes, we distribute it to 4,075 students in that raw form so that they can be brought home or stored by students longer," he said.
He said the nutritious food was distributed in raw form to adjust the condition of the school which is currently on holiday or ahead of the class meeting.
Through this step, recipients of MBG, especially school students, can still receive the benefits of the MBG Program by being brought home.
