El Rumi Was Ridiculed At The Beginning Of His Relationship With Syifa Hadju, Publicly Highlighted

JAKARTA - El Rumi shared experiences about the challenges he faced at the beginning of his relationship with his lover, Syifa Hadju, especially regarding the public spotlight and social media.

In a conversation with Denny Sumargo on YouTube Curhat Bang Denny Sumargo, El admitted that he felt uncomfortable with the excessive attention that came suddenly.

"Maybe at the beginning, when I was dating Syifa, I got a really big spotlight and it's a bit uncomfortable," said El Rumi, quoted from the YouTube channel Curhat Bang Denny Sumargo, Wednesday, June 18.

El recounted one of the moments when he and Syifa were enjoying their time together in Bali, but had to face the camera spotlight from many people around them.

"At that time we went to the Sunday Market in Bali, just arrived, five cameras were straight like this (sdropping). Just walked a little bit, the one guarding the shop (recorded), went there a little bit with Syifa like this (recorded), to which place a little, recorded, in a viral post," he said.

The excessive attention had made El feel disturbed, especially with the current social media phenomenon which made things go viral in an instant.

"It's a bit uncomfortable at the beginning. It's just like, what can I do, especially now that many people are like, not Instagram, maybe more to TikTok," said El Rumi.

According to him, platforms like TikTok make it easier for anyone to spread content, even without having a lot of followers.

"It means like someone posted there, people who don't have followers can be a million videos," continued El Rumi.

However, over time, the son of musician Ahmad Dhani and Maia Estianty began to adapt and accept the fact that the spotlight was part of his life as a public figure.

"That's probably a lot of people every time I pass by Syifa a little bit, it's definitely a record for FYP. So it's like that. It's just a long time to get used to it," he concluded.
