The Transfer Of Four Aceh Islands Was Proposed By Edy Rahmayadi During The Governor's Office
MEDAN - Edy Rahmayadi when he was Governor of North Sumatra (North Sumatra) once proposed to move four islands in Aceh Singkil Regency, Aceh Province.
Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian said the study of the four islands took place in 2022.
"In 2022 with the Minister of Home Affairs Decree (Minister of Home Affairs) regarding the coverage of these four islands to the Central Tapanuli region. At that time, the Governor of Aceh Pak Nova, and the Governor of North Sumatra Edy Rahmayadi objected to showing historical data and documents," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 17.
Tito said one of the very important documents was the agreement letter of the Governor of Aceh Ibrahim Hasan and the Governor of North Sumatra Raja Inal Siregar.
"One of the things given was a document agreement between the two governors, which was witnessed by the minister at that time, Mr. Rudini. The Aceh Governor signed it, Mr Ibrahim Hasan, while from North Sumatra Raja Inal Siregar, this is a factual document," he explained.
"The point is that the regional boundaries at point number three of the regional boundaries for Central Tapanuli (Central Tapanuli) and Aceh (Province) refer to Staats Blaad No. 604 of 1908 and the 1978 TNI AD topography map," said Tito.
The Minister of Home Affairs also said that this map made the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) consider the possibility of four islands entering Aceh.
"But at that time the documents were only photocopies, we knew that photocopy documents in legal matters were very easy to break," he said.
Since 2022 during the period of the Governor of North Sumatra Edy Rahmayadi, Tito continued, the Ministry of Home Affairs and related parties conducted a study until they decided on four islands in Aceh to enter North Sumatra.
The findings of the important document of the Decree of the Minister of Home Affairs (Kepmendagri) Number 111 of 1992, which was signed on November 24, 1992, became the basis for strong law.
"Therefore, the agreement is in 2022, after this new data is available, all parties of North Sumatra, Aceh, the Ministry of Home Affairs and also from other central governments, who are included in the Rupabumi Benchmark Team are both looking for this document," said Tito.
