Perfect Corp. Presents Shoulder Try-On: Try Virtual Bag Directly From Phone Screen
JAKARTA - Perfect Corp., an augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence (AI)-based beauty and fashion technology company, launched the latest feature, namely Shoulder Try-On, through its collaboration with WANNA
With this new feature, users can now try the bag virtually and as if they are holding it on the shoulder, directly from their phone screen only.
"With the launch of this shoulder try-on feature, consumers gain the experience of trying bags online to a higher level using an intuitive and realistic approach," said Zina Grossman, Head of Growth at WANNA.
Different from crossbody simulations, this feature allows consumers to try bags from various angles, including the appearance when attached to the shoulder, and see how the bag mixes with the outfits worn.
This Shoulder Try-on feature is a development of WANNA's previous Virtual Try-On Bag. This technology comes thanks to the sophisticated integration of several AI and AR-based systems:
Real-time pose estimate: Real-time 3D body tracking ensures the placement of bags naturally and precisely because they follow every user's movement.
Segmentation & occlusion handling: The results look realistic because intelligent systems can understand when virtual bags need to be partially covered by the user's body parts, such as arms or hands.
Advanced temporal smoothing: The bag movement remains smooth and stable, even as the user moves in the video or mirror view.

Multiple views support: Can be used in various camera modes, from selfies to mirror views, without disturbing the proportion of visuals.
"Launching the Shoulder Try-On feature confirms our mission to provide a more immersive and meaningful digital shopping experience, as well as bridging the online and physical worlds," added Alice Chang, CEO of Perfect Corp. and WANNA.
This technology is designed to be easily integrated into e-commerce sites without requiring additional installations. WANNA's Try-On Shoulder feature is now available for the integration of Software Development Kits (SDK).
